Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).

Pat the chickpeas dry with a clean towel or paper towels—this helps them crisp up.

In a bowl, toss the chickpeas with olive oil, salt, smoked paprika, garlic powder, and black pepper until evenly coated.

Spread the chickpeas on a baking sheet in a single layer.

Roast in the oven for 25–30 minutes, shaking or stirring halfway through, until golden and crunchy.

Remove from the oven and let cool slightly before serving.
