Ingredients
Instructions
-
Prepare the popcorn. Place the air-popped popcorn in a large mixing bowl and set aside.
-
Make the maple mixture. In a small bowl, whisk together the maple syrup, melted butter, cinnamon, vanilla extract, and salt.
-
Coat the popcorn. Drizzle the maple mixture over the popcorn while gently tossing to distribute it as evenly as possible.
-
Add the protein powder. Sprinkle the protein powder over the popcorn and toss again until the popcorn is lightly coated.
-
Let it crisp. Spread the popcorn in a single layer on a parchment-lined baking sheet. Bake at 300°F for 8 to 10 minutes, stirring once halfway through.
-
Cool and serve. Let the popcorn cool completely before serving. It will become crispier as it cools.
Note
Midge's Tip:
Keep the maple coating light. Too much liquid can make your popcorn chewy instead of crisp, and we're after that delightful little crunch.
